The announcement came from the All England Club on Tuesday and Williams followed up with a post on his Instagram account saying, "SW and SW19. It's a date ৷2022 will be seen there.

The Grand Slam tournament kicks off on June 27, and will mark the first time since last year's event that Williams will compete professionally.

The seven-time Wimbledon champion was knocked out of the 2021 tournament during his first set in the first round after injuring his right leg on a slippery grass court.
