The prequel will tell the story of how LeFou and Gaston became friends. Josh Gad, 41, and Evans will both reprise their roles as LeFou and Gaston — both actors played in the Emma Watson-led 2017 live-action film.
"It was a thrilling experience to navigate a story of these two people and new characters and then bring them up to the moment we meet them in the movie," Evans said.
UK Evans assured fans on Thursday that the Gaston and LeFou prequel to "Beauty and the Beast" has been delayed.
